Aaron Dias

When Aaron discovered yoga a decade ago, she knew that she had cracked open a world of healing and happiness. As a performer, director and theater teacher, she has a knack for leading students to a deep, intuitive connection with their bodies. With her background in the academic world as a Philosophy student (BA Vassar College) and tutor, she brings a depth of understanding to the yogic teachings and a special ability to make them relevant and accessible. She is certified by the Conquering Lion Yoga school of Kelly Morris, which powerfully combines the physical yoga style of Jivamukti with the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, and for the last year she has been a faculty member of the training program.  She leads her students through sequences designed to strengthen, purify and vitalize the body, and teaches them how to simultaneously maintain an inner meditation that inevitably makes the mind serene, focused and joyful.  When you leave her class you should be in a state that is a taste of yoga itself: of mind and body united, of feeling at ease yet energized, of contentedly existing in the balance of the present, of that natural wholeness we were born with, but get so easily become separated from along the way.
