Suzy has been studying yoga and meditation for over eight years, but
it was dealing with the physical and psychological effects of acute
illness that put her on her current path. Yoga was her first step
towards wellness, empowering her to connect mind, body, and spirit.
The practice continues to sustain her and inspires her to help others.
Her calm, thoughtful, approach caters to the needs and abilities of
each student. It is Suzy’s firm belief that a yoga practice should
fit the person, not the other way around. She makes a genuine
connection with her students, creating an intimate, caring atmosphere
in her classes. Her aim is to inspire kindness and patience in her
students as they find their individual practice.
Suzy has studied with Jill Satterfield of Vajra Yoga and Meditation,
and The School for Compassionate Action. She has also studied the
yogic approach to anatomy and movement with Leslie Kaminoff and Amy
Matthews.
Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art, has also been an important part of
Suzy’s life and training over the last 3 years. She is grateful to be
training in this complementary tradition and seeks to infuse her yoga
classes with the playful spirit found in capoeira.
